Hey, SDM, would it be too much trouble to send me the chapters as well? It'd be much appreciated, as I'm more likely to part with money for a Mills & Boon than the Bible.
Dugdog, I'd be more than happy to type something up for you, and send it back to you. Just say the word!

Don't encourage the lazy b*****d!
Ok - I'll look in a local charity shop and let you both know when I've found one!

thanks for the offer, either you are too kind - or you have adpoted the sarcasm which sdm weilds with such virtuosity.....
this is gonna be fun! (m&b vs the bible I mean)...
gotta go get some work done...

Ah, I actually wasn't being sarcastic *this* time. I'd have been more than happy to help, even if you were being a lazy b*****d.
I'm really looking forward to this M&B/Bible thing as well. After this past weekend, I deperately need to do something silly and utterly evil in order to feel like myself again.
Well, I suppose I ought to get some work done now as well...

I'm searching our house for a childrens version of the Bible we have somewhere ......... it might be interesting!.... if my search proves fruitless, we are stuck as we have no Bible to p/copy.
How's this for a suggestion ..... cut'n'paste a Mills & Boon book but the formatt has to be in a bible style? As a rule of thumb, all grammer can be changed to olde worlde ie: Rebecca swooned into Davids loving embrace .... would now read: Rebecca swoonethed into ye Davids loving embraceth!
We would have to try and combine smut with religious type parables!
any good?
Any other ideas?

What a scathingly brilliant idea! I can imagine how silly that could get. What fun!
Speaking of ideas... I pulled my head out of my a** this morning, and realised that the local public library (which, incidentally, is located practically next door to me) is quite likely to have a Bible in the stacks. It'd be very easy for me to pop in there and run off some photocopies, type up the text, and send them to you both, if you like. Let me know!

sounds like p'candy's nailed it...I prefer using the real bible...If I'm going to hell I wanna go down on a roller-coaster, real stylee...!!
good call p'candy - I reckon we do revelations - real fire and brimstone stuff!
wadda we reckon?

psychocandy-moderation team leader Posted Mar 25, 2003
I reckon using Revelations would rock! I could hit the library tomorrow afternoon without a problem. Which chapter would we use?
hi psychocandy
superdogmonkey Posted Mar 26, 2003
Hmmm, I have no idea what any of the chapters contain but I would of thought The Number of the Beast stuff would suit our needs.
If you could copy those for me and d/dog, I will do the same with the Mills & boon.
How do you want to do the exchange?
I can post an email on here (it's my work one, so I'm not worried about nutters useing it!) and you can get in touch re: address for yourself .... dugdog and i both use our works address (have you such a thing you are able to use?
hi psychocandy
psychocandy-moderation team leader Posted Mar 26, 2003
The Number of the Beast stuff sounds good... I'll definitely copy that, and have a look see if anything else sounds like it could be perverted to our ends, and copy those as well.
I'll be heading over to the library in a little over an hour.
As far as exchanging chapters goes, I've no problem with posting my hotmail addy here, I've done it before without any problems. I'm not worried about nutters using it, either, in fact, at times I think I actually encourage it. So it's up to you which way you think would be less confusing.

dugdog <a.k.a. - corla planktun...buffer of the tiny ruby> Posted Mar 26, 2003
if you are happy for your hotmail address to show in a reply - I'll copy it and post from home (i'd rather do this from home or I'll just end up cut n pasting at work, and not getting anything done...) if that's cool with you guys.

Revelations is a short book, and photocopies were free today, so I've copied the entire book just in case. I'll look for the part we want, and type it up, and then shall I e-mail it to you both? I ought to be able to finish by this time tomorrow, provided I don't wind up arsing around too much.
I've no qualms at all about leaving my e-mail addy, it's belladonna_23 at hotmail dot com.
Off now to make a pretense of getting some work done...

What a marvelous idea, Richenda! Thanks for the suggestion... it'll come in handy in the future for sure. Why I didn't think of it myself is beyond me.
Luckily I only used 2 sheets of paper to make the copies (and they're being recycled as bookmarkers), but I wish it had occured to me to look for the bible text online... the copy at the library wouldn't have scorch marks on it then.

Hey P-Candy,
I notice earlier on in the thread that you have visited the Bristol Renaissance Faire. Check out my entry
A1019468 and let me know what you think. My home away from home nine weekends of the year.

Wow! What a brilliant entry Richenda! I haven't been to the Renaissance Faire in at least 7 years... but your entry brings back many fond memories, and makes me want to go back this summer if I have an opportunity.
Thanks for letting me know about the entry... I've started a new conversation there. You write beautifully!
