My best friend told me off cos I was the only person in the entire country who wasn't crying my eyes out (she claims).
I just found it dragged on too long. And I never could take to Donna, so I didn't care deeply enough to feel moved.

It felt like the end of The Return of the King; too many endings, all of which went on too long. 
The only bit that got me was him discussing his death in the cafe.

Oh dear, I understand that lyric too!!
The only saving grace is the Donna wasn't in it much and was used as a lazy plot device.
