While hootooing, I've got one of these 'flog your antiques' programmes on in the background with an average 2-kid family.
So while the experts scour the house, we get nice footage of the father taking his ornamental baroque clock to a specialist dealer to have it valued. The dealer says it's immaculate and worth £400 or so, but felt that fancy clocks such as this weren't currently in fashion, and the chap might have difficult selling it. The dealer's final recommendation is that he waits a few years to see if there's more demand.
This was summed up beautifully in the show's conclusion:
Presenter: So, did you manage to sell on the clock then?
Father: No. Turns out it's the wrong time.

Almost as good as Radio 2's comment about Blunket:
Mrs. Quin says she can't understand why Mr. Blunket is suddenly so interested in the boy, as he hasn't seen him for nearly a year.
