fords - number 1 all over heaven

I had a similar problem with PC World (same group as Currys for those that don't know smiley - smiley) - they wanted £125 just to look at my laptop when it started playing up. I told them to bugger off and phoned up an independent computer shop. They told me over the phone that it wasn't even worth trying to repair my laptop's fault as it would cost far too much - and I got that little nugget for free smiley - biggrin

I think the main problem with PC World is that people keep the place open by continuing to shop there.

Ah yes, the confusing PCWORLD staff my asking them difficult questions game. My favourite question was always,"Will this work on my computer?' Telling them I'd got X Windows and having them assume I meant Windows XP was another good one.

At our nearest PC World there's a pensioner working there. I feel cruel sometimes because he quite clearly knows feck all about computing and can never answer a simple question smiley - erm

Well I know everyone hates PC World, and quite rightly too, but I bought a laptop from them recently because it really was the cheapest one aorund. By miles.
