Honestly! You spend a few weeks offline and they close down half the bloody site in your absence. I have many, many opinions about this but:
a) I doubt they are terribly original, and
b) I have 8 pages of backlog to wade through

Welcome back...I have such a nice computer but such a bad internet provider...my DSL subscription "expired" despite the fact that my subscription is a month-to-month they say it was for only four months...crazy people...now they are reactivating my e-mail and I will have two e-mails so I guess that is good though I could go through a week of only being able to check e-mail on a 56k modem...I do a lot of different things so this is very angering to have to put up with due to someone's paperwork error.
On the bright side my ISP problem got me an extra e-mail address and $5 knocked off my monthly price.
Still....keeping up on the backlog while working with this problem is going to be a pain for me...so I know what you are going through.
Glad to hear that the teaching is going well and I hope that your ISP allows you to stay back for a while.
