A Conversation for Talking Point: A New Year Challenge
Friendship card points

I've thought long and hard about this and I've decided that my goal for this year is to be a better friend. I've done this by quantifying what it means to be my friend and dish out rewards accordingly.
For example a good friend would get 5 points for approaching me in conversation, 2 points for a conversation and 10 points if they confide in me. The idea is if they reach 200 points I give them a present and 1,000 points I treat them to a night out.
The only upshot is that I would'nt be able to remember who said what unless I write the score in a notebook which would make me look very suspicious at social occasions and I'll probably award overly inflated points if I'm drunk however if they get me drunk they probably deserve it.

....mmm...nice one! Although, I agree it would look a bit odd if you started scribbling down your notes every time someone confided in you. Also seems a bit...one way? Perhaps friendship could be improved if you offered more, rather than wait for them. What do you make of www.actsofkindness.org for inspiration....?
