Ah, but they wouldn't be re runs for me, as I've never seen them. As much as I could use a vacation trip, I'm almost willing to go to another planet.

No, never seen it. I'll have to check the BBC America lineup a little closer.

Nothing quite like a book you can't put down.
The Amber Chronicles and The Belgariad were the cause of a lot of lost sleep around here. My loving brother, couldn't put down the Amber Chronicles until he finished them. So, what does he do then... he gave them to me. Then, I couldn't put them down until I'd read them all.

There are now ten books in the Amber series(Roger Zelazny). It was five when my brother loaned them to me. Thank goodness, or I wouldn't have slept for two weeks. In the first, "Nine Princes in Amber" Corwin wakes up in a hospital with his legs in casts and can't remember anything. Soon he starts to remember the "incident" and then some relatives and eventually his real identity as a prince of Amber, the one true kingdom to which all other realities are but a shadow like ripples on a pond.
The Belgariad(David Eddings) is the story of Garion a small boy who doesn't seem to fit in properly on the farm where he lives with his aunt. Then again, his Aunt Pol, doesn't seem to be what she says she is, either. There is a myth about a sorceress named Polgara... but that would just be silly, wouldn't it? Then, one night he is yanked out of bed, dressed in a hurry and dragged into an adventure of a lifetime.
Granted, you have to like fantasy to read these. But, I'll read most stuff at least once.
