Not read any of the Nightworld books - who are they by? Any good?

They're about various vampires and witches and stuff, they're like romances about soulmates, with one of the soulmates being a nefarious beasty... They're like popcorn but I enjoy them. Have you read the Magician, Dune, any Terry Pratchett or *studies memory* damn cant remember his name - he wrote a dog called demolition and the sprouts of wrath... anywho. You had any intesting thoughts lately? I've finally managed to appreciate the beauty of the world most of the time, and I am now able to catch negative thoughts by the tail and smash em against the wall. Right, anyway I'm off to take my medication.

sounds quite good, I'll keep an eye out for them.

I haven't read Dune, although I have the books here - I'll get around to them one day!

I had a conversation with a friend of mine recently who is training to be a psychotherapist, and she told me that one of the things that has been most difficult yet enlightening for her was the realisation that she had been relating to people in the present from her past experiences/emotional baggage.

That got me started on thinking about myself and the way I react or relate to people.....and made me realise that I'm still reacting to people from my old expectations...I guess I have a lot of work to do before I can be free from emotional baggage.

I'd heard that Daddy Crimbo was 'originally' an Icelandic shaman who used to come down through the chimney and leave gifts. He was associated with the use of the toadstool Fly Agaric (highly hallucinogenic) which is of course, red (with white spots).

Or they could have just made that up.

People probably hallucinated that he was coming down the chimney
