Well, you put up a good showing in the first 20mins- shame you all seem to be knackered by half-time

I'm not going to rise to this. I'm too tired and just can't be bothered....
Suffice to say we actually played OK for about an hour and it was a lovely day to be there.

Fine, spoil my fun
I'm envious of you being there, I was watching in the pub- at least it has a big screen

I was dead lucky to get there. looks like the luck ran out for us though! Was quite glad not to be in a pub, cos there would have been a serious danger of sorrows being well and truly drowned and i'd never have made it into work today !!
Sorry to spoil the fun for you, most days I'd be up for a bit of heated debate on the subject, but today i'm just not in the mood. We were well beaten and that's that. (much as it pains me to type those words )
Nice to find a rugby fan on here, though. Most people seem to keep very quiet about it as far as I can tell. Either that or none of them are interested in the slightest!

Someone's just started a thread on askh2g2....
Never mind, I'm sure someone will be along to take offence

Aye, it doesn't help that Egon, our resident sports guru apparently can't stand the game.
England for the World Cup, then?

To be honest, I don't think so. It'll be a totally different state of affairs in Oz.

I reckon it's eminently do-able. We've the best half-back combination in the world, a decent full-back or two and a whole selection of exciting wingers. Out of the pack, Steve Thompson, Richard Hill and Martin Johnson are all world-class.
All we need is a decent three-quarter combination (bring back Mike Catt, say I) and a selection of fit props, and we're virtually unbeatable.

We're certainly well on form at the moment- I don't want to predudice anything by saying we'll stay that way tho'...
