Project Title: Fortifications of the Isle of Wight

Description of Project: A series of 27 articles describing the history of forts on the Isle of Wight from the Victorian period to the end of coastal fortifications in 1956.
Proposed Completion Date: A couple of months or so.
The project can be divided into 3 sections if no-one wishes to handle all 27 articles in one go - East Wight, West Wight and the Solent Sea Forts.

Yes, Tufty is the masochist who is working his way through this one, which we enjoyed talking about for a bit at the meet-up.
But yes, the sub-asking process could do with being streamlined, and definitely for Uni projects. I tend to ask both here and on the Sub home page and hope someone replies.
