Rain...blue?

It is quite obvious that rain isn't blue at all. If I gathered a sample of rainwater, or "sky" as you call it, there would not be a bottle of blue liquid. Water may appear blue because of the reflection of the sky, on the water, but it is not blue. The sky is merely the area above ground level. It starts at our feet, and works up to the end of the atmosphere.

But the same people who tell us rain is not blue tell us the sky is not blue either but is also colourless. Therefore my theory still holds.
