Best way to ensure Devon being accepted into the Celtic world is to allow Cornwall to annex Devon as Kernow Veur... greater Cornwall. Then change all the placenames to Cornish language ones!

Hmm, Possible - but possibly not.

More logically as Devon gets its name frome the Celtic nation "Dumnonia" (as known to the Romans) [which encompassed Cornwall, Devon and western Somerset (as a minimum)], and as Exeter (Keresk) was its traditional capital, perhaps Cornwall should be better known as "Dewnans Vyghan" (little Devon).

It is curious that the Cornish seem to get so upset about Devon claiming its own flag and identity, that perhaps it has forgotten to look to its west.

The Isles of Scilly have chosen their own flag, in a process that in some ways mirrored the method used to select the Devon Flag.

il go along with that! people from devon and cornwall are the same, from the same stock and tribe from years back only separated by the river tamar , both fought together in the rebellions and shared the same language up til not so recent times. should have our joint stanery parliament back!

There was a joint stannary parliament for Devon and Cornwall, but from the reign of Edward the First their were two - one for Devon and one for Cornwall.

Having said that, there is much in common - in terms of mining and in many other ways- but also important differences.
