CHARLES & CAMILLA TO SUPPORT CORNWALL COMMONWEALTH GAMES BID ??
I have it from a good source, that the Cornwall Commonwealth Games Committee has written to the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall seeking their Patronage and that their offer has is under serious consideration. According to certain quarters, no reply at all or merely an acknowledgement is the order of the day. Apparently, they've heard back that it will be put before Charles and Camilla and will be told the outcome within the next few weeks. If successful this would be an unparallel recognition of the existence of a Cornish nation by the UK establishment.

Cornwall would certainly have a greater population than other games participants - for example I think each of the channel islands can send their own team.
I am not so sure whether the Duke will support a move for a seperate Cornish team though (I may be wrong)
