I am 6 months into learning the bandoneon - the instrument which gives the argentinian tango its distinctive sound.
My "bando" is a bisonoric instrument (each button sounds a different when opening and closing the bellows). I am fortunate to have met the Argentinian Bandoneonista Teddy Peiro who has helped me get started.
If you have any experience playing the bandoneon or are also learning, I would be delighted to share thoughts, hints and tips. I can play the tango vals "desde el alma" - from the soul (very appropriate) with enough fluency for our tangueros to dance, but being a jazz musician who loves to improvise, I have a long way to go to be able to improvise on both registers and bellows actions.
