It's just that I've been idling around playing verbal tennis with a few researchers; you know how adictive it can get! So I've done nowt else with it, as they say in Yorkshire!
It'll wear-off soon if I keep using the arm patches!! Might get around to it soon. But I'll be away for 14 days after this coming Sunday.
Thank you for the gentle push though, I sometimes need it; just ask my long-suffering wife, the computer-widow!

Ron Just that I have my picks coming up soon, (Sshhhh I'm not suppose to tell you that) and thought if we could get it ready enough, then it would be up to the Editors to say whether or not it was actually ready, and maybe they could offer some more advice if it wasn't, but no worries, take all the time you need.
Not sure what verbal tennis is, but hey here's some to go with it.

Hi Ron
I just read what you said in 'Jellied Eels' thread. I caught an eel once too. I used to go fresh water fishing at a lake near where I lived. I wanted to put the eel back, same as I did with the fish I caught, but the friends I was with said I couldn't, once an eel was caught, it doesn't get put back, I can't remember why that was anyway, i gave it to my next door neighbour who made jellied eel from it. I still have the photo of me holding the eel somewhere.
I've never tried jellied eel, just the thought of it makes me feel not sure why.
Do you still go fishing?

Hi Emmily,
Would've answered sooner, but been cutting the Leylandii back. Must take advantage of the lovely weather you know.
Not fished for many decades. Used to go with my dear departed father and my uncle John, the latter lived in Burton, so we used to fish in those gravel pits for pike and whatever else took the lobworm bait!
John used to take us also to the river Mease in a place called Croxall Mill, in Yoxall, near Alrewas (strange names, are'nt they) north of Burton, which is a tributary of the Trent. There we fished for chub, but were always frustrated by minnows nibbling at the bait all the time. It was a beautiful spot then. I do hope it has remained unchanged. I loved those times. Long gone now!
Ron
