Well, since I absolutely adored Robin of Sherwood, I'm not totally convinced that they should be making it again. However, since they seem to be considering it seriously, Bean would be good. But... I fear they might fall into the trap of making him into a baddie. But then, he would make a fabulously devastatingly droolworthy Sherrif. To rival Alan Rickman in fact.

Hmmmm I've not seen Robin of Sherwood, or if I have, I don't remember
I don't suppose you know where it says on the 'net' that Sean was voted sexiest man, or something like that. I came across it yesterday, didn't take much notice of where. Then today, I had the idea of using Victor of Dibley (I didn't know the character had a 'thing' for Sean) and Sean being sexist man together, erm somehow

it seems that he was voted 2nd sexiest man by the readers of Empire Magazine - but the article I read didn't say when
(it was here:

sorry, it's in German, 2nd to last sentence)
it can't have been that long ago because both articles where I actually read it mention Flight Plan and one of them mentioned National Treasure.

would seem to indicate that he was voted 2nd sexiest man the year after he did Hamlet in London. I could wade throught the drool thread to find out when that was... (post LOTR)
Now I want to know who is, apparently, the sexiest man in England!

oh and Robin of Sherwood was fantastically ethereal, and Ray Winstone was brilliant as Will Scarlett

Sorted
Not sure if I'll get away with this, but this is what I've put.
"In 1999 Sean made a guest appearance on the Vicar of Dibley, he had one of his fans; Geraldine Granger (Dawn French) swooning. Not surprising, as Sean has been voted sexiest man by various organisations and magazines over the years."

well, the thread certainly like him!!
If I remember correctly, Geraldine Grainger used to have a picture of Mel Gibson in earlier eps, but it changed to the Beanster some time.

According to A2452015 Geraldine is "chocolate-and-Sean Bean-loving vicar" good tastes, for a vicar
