So still a chance you could get back on t'internet then. I wouldn't hold your breath about waiting for the police, investigations can take years.

Have you had a look at the catflap to see what's
coming soon with TW? Their testing VOD in Bristol and that should go nationwide in the summer.

I can't find the link for VOD (or Video On Demand), but it's like Front Row, with more content, and you can pause, fast forward, rewind and stuff with it, like you can with videos. PVR (Personal Video Recorder) is like Sky+, where you can record one channel whilst watching another, but TW's boxes have 3 tuners, which means you can record two different channels whilst watching a different one, no need for tapes as it's all recorded in the STB. That's due in the summer too. Probably be the start of next year though knowing TW.

Just keep asking him when he's doing it. Hopefully he'll get fed up of you nagging and do it!

my bad luck struck again yestaerday, we found the cold tap on the bathroom sink was leaking, so ive had to turn off the spare offtap, but this means that we have to fill the toilet cistern up after use, they said they would have a plumber here later today,jim

VOD will definiatly be launching, it's just a matter of when. TVInternet was shelved because of content problems, whether TW would be accused of "broadcasting" unsuitable content. In the end that was why it was shelved.

I'd speak for yourself about emails working, only one of mine has been working fully since the last software update.

You keep hanging on to that hope about the firewall dropping, I don't think it will happen again since they switched to full-screen games and they use a different system now.

they put on two new taps,something about not using metal to plastic parts anymore, so new taps,new piping to them and a small stoptap to each, they beleive in prevention lol.

Have you tried your local Job Centre? They're selling PC's for £60, only basic like, but it gets you back online.

to be honest with all the crap and repeats,recording one item would be a mirical,
as i have the d4000, and as you know its the best one they have that works, as the latest one i heard last a few days then crashses, ide hate to lose this and be left with a rubbish box,

Not heard from you much either. I'm not around here that much, what with having to use Betsie on more and more sites. There are variations on nes, iis the one that comes to mind, but trying to find that might take me 5 weeks. Hey, aren't you supposed to be the linksman?LOL

I'll try and find the thread you mean, but if you remember, the next time you post to it, you'll get a betsie error, write down the F number for the error and post it to me then I'll be able to find it without going through convo lists.

About the d4000, I don't really think it was ever the best, even if it is older, the new scientifica atlanta boxes that TW have have 3 tuners, which means you can record two different channels while watching another one. All on a harddisc without having to use tapes. I think the 4000 is just a cheaper version of the 1000 series, no adaptors on the back. The tech from TW will tell you anything, from my experience.
