Arthur's most (un)fortunate discovery
----
"Incidentally," he said, "what does teleport mean?"
Another moment passed.
Slowly, the others turned to face him.
"Probably the wrong moment to ask," said Arthur, "It's just I remember you used the word a short while ago and I only bring it up because..."
"Where," said Ford quietly, "does it say teleport?"
"Well, just over here in fact," said Arthur, pointing at a dark control box in the rear of the cabin, "Just under the word "emergency", above the word "system" and beside the sign saying "out of order"."

You cheer me up you do! Nice quote, I must reread the whole lot again soon. Last thing I read of his was 'Last chance to see' which was weepingly well written, and 'Salmon of doubt' which left me feeling quite sad about him being gone...
I'm SO tired! My year 13 students have just performed their last assessment - adaptations of 'Our Countrys Good' I have been at school for 13 HOURS!!! But the work was absolutely brilliant, they acted their socks off. I am so proud!

Yay!!!
I'm glad that everything worked out well for you. See! All those long hours pay off in the end! Keep it up, and you'll be hitting your quota marks in no time....your wife may start beating you up for non-appearances around the house, but a small price to pay when you see the final production, I'm guessing!
Thank you I do my best to help lift the morale of people in high stress situations...
Ahh...you're succembing to my master plan - to make people continually read the books from my continual quoting!
I may have to put a few Jasper Fforde quotes in here as well....there's some quite good ones in there...Oh! I finished "Lost in a Good Book". Upsetting to an extent - it was a bit of a cop-out at the end - no capture/defeat of Aornis, no Landen, true, she saved the world from becoming a large pot of Dream Topping (via the help of dad)...I do love that line he said when she ran into him afterwards at her mother's house - You think so laterally.....it's like in Star Trek First Contact when the Borg says to Picard "You think in such three dimensions"....heh heh heh...I love it!
But it was a VERY good book though - I love Jurisfiction...brilliant idea...I can't wait for the third book now! July 1st!!! YAY!!!
