thats soo kool so hey how are you mm and hey do you have icq??? sorry to be asking you so many ?'s but see i have been wanting someone to talk to for a while on icq

I dont like chat very much.

Did you ever try some of the special interest groups on ICQ??? If you don't mind talking to strangers. Of course we are all pretty strange here on h2g2 anyway.

I am a number AND a name...

But actually, I hardly ever sign on to ICQ. For several reasons.
1) I don't really care to 'chat'. Dont talk on the phone much either.
2)The random chats I have seen are pretty awful, like on AOL.
3)I very seldom know when I am going to be online to talk.
4) I ran into a problem on AOL Instant Messanger where repeatedly people I didnt even know wanted to talk and then when I didnt want to, got mad at me. And one of them kept wanting to talk whenever I signed on. So I mostly quit using it. I suppose I could have blocked them, but I really just didnt want to bother with the whole thing.

I have ICQ only with authorized contacts, but still get unwanted requests for chat from people I dont know. Just today I got one about an x-rated site. Dont mind people doing that, but dont really want to be bothered by them.

I use ICQ when I have a specific person or group to talk to for a specific purpose. Because so many people have it, I keep it for this reason only.So you will very seldom find me online with ICQ.

The most random recreational conversation online I have ever done is on h2g2! Now THIS I really like!!!! I think I am addicted. No, actually, I KNOW I am addicted.

But remember, I hardly ever sign on to ICQ and I hardly ever chat. I like h2g2 MUCH better. [and anyway h2g2 pretty much takes up all my spare time]

my humblest apologies for the tardiness of this message... I have so many things to do at the moment, that I don't have much time to take a peek into h2g2 and see how my forums are going along. ( )

In addition, I'm not feeling too well. In fact, I'm not feeling well at all, so this message in't going to be the height of coherence.

Have a success story... Actually, you'd be surprised... one of my best friends (probably my best friend at the moment. I'm not sure. I don't make lists of these things) was originally one of those random chat people, that's how we met. :-p

In any case, I added you... so wheever you get online, you can authorise me. :-p
