29.11.11 what has it got in its pocketses?
You can call me TC Posted Dec 2, 2011
I ordered 150 biros with motto for my son's wedding. Ever since, I have been continuously sent samples of their other giveaway items. They are really good quality, sometimes they have my name and address on them, sometimes the wedding date and motto. I gave my daughter-in-law a tiny screwdriver set (It did have her name on it, after all) recently. She has already used it!
I empty my handbag regularly and throw out loads of stuff (mainly papers - old shopping lists) and put lots of things in the filing.
As for as such: When I had tiny children, I had a big handbag with spare nappies, etc. Once they were out of nappies, I went minimal and got a tiny bag and miniature versions of everything. Then I decided that I had too many supplementary bags and went back to the maxi-version. I've been yo-yoing ever since.
I refuse to use a backpack-style bag, though. I like to have everything immediately to hand and, when in a town or on public transport, in my line of sight. And I'd be scared of knocking stuff off shelves in china shops, too.
But I probably said all that in the thread.

When I'm on public transport, if I can, I'll keep my rucksack tight against the window so no one can get at it and my handbag is strapped across my body so I'd like to see someone try... because I have the frame, I can't always carry everything in my line of sight, but if I can feel it it's usually OK.

I have to have a clear out every so often, and I try not to carry too many heavy things in it as I have a bad shoulder. I do prefer across the body bags, but there's not a great variety of formal ones available #gapinthemarket

I really don't understand how people can carry a heavy bag on one shoulder. I can't cos of my gait (I sway slightly), meaning anything on one shoulder would slip off. I couldn't even be like the cool kids in school and carry my rucksack on one shoulder, but at least I don't have problems with said shoulder now, ha!
I had to slim down my bag cos I was carrying too much crap- but being women, we are allowed to carry junk, right? Oh, this has reminded me I need money...
