G'day mates!
Beatrice Posted Jul 28, 2004
Oh my God! I have fallen completely head over heels in love with Sydney!
It is the most outrageously, indecently, drop dead ing gorgeous hunk of a city I have ever seen.
It is ridiculously easy to get about.
It has fantastic nightlife and restaurants.
And shops.
It is suffused with that crystal light and freshness that cities on the water have.
I've just been paddling in the surf of Manly beach, before enjoying the most wonderful ocean view while consuming champagne and oysters.
I think I've died and gone to heaven.....
G'day mates!

"gorgeous hunk of a city", "Manly beach", "oysters"...
Just how jealous do you want to make Freddy?

Well, back to reality (oops, there goes gravity)
Back to a stack of old newspapers and a humungous credit card bill.
Back to blistered hands from lugging all that luggage around (is that where the name comes from?)
Oh, handy hint to travellers with many cases to transport - don't wear a bra. Helps enormously in producing eager porters and taxi drivers.
Back with a mountain of dirty laundry. Oh and the depressing discovery that a whole bottle of shampoo had leaked out in my big case - most of it handily absorbed by my padded bras, but it has left a nasty stain on me Crocodile Dundee hat. Ah well, it'll make it look more battered and less touristy I s'pose.
Back to 500 unread emails. 10 of them were actually about work!
Here's a thing - if I've come back from Down Under does that mean I'm now Up Over?
I'm back

I wasn't planning on wearing a bra to holidays anyway, but then non bra requiring travelers tend not to have more than a rucksac and a laptop bag.
Now that your back up over, and life has thourally whamed you in the face such as described. need a hand? the woe cake of reality? perhaps a ?
Did you have a good time of it at least?

Thanks for the
Yes I do have a touch of the post-holiday blues and could do with cheering up.
But the holiday itself was absolutely amazing - really, truly, the greatest holdiay I've ever been on, and I look forward to going back sometime.
Unless we could work out a way to bring Sydney closer to us! But then it wouldn't really work, would it...
I'm back

Look on google images for Widnes if your in the UK. the uk's very own rainy cold Sydney with less night life than a grave yard and a really cool steel arch suspention bridge, biggest in the EU.
if not in the uk then be happy anyway, just imagen your in my holiday. damn you. and not being rained on.
