Grasshoppers?

Arrived home from tap class the other night to find my little darlings hopping anxiously from one foot to t'other in the hall, and pointing nervously to the uncharacteristically closed kitchen door.
I went in.
There, nonchalantly promenading round the kitchen ceiling were 2 bright emerald green grasshoppers. They dont move very fast, so were easy to squish with a broom handle. But how did they get there? I live on the second floor.....
Grasshoppers?

Thats hard to argue with but I think they used a ladder to get through the open window

Maybe they were dropped by a passing albatross.
