i went down (or over, or up, if you like) to Willie (my VW mechanic and parts supplier, factory trained in the 1960's) to get a replacement fusebox. I pulled one out of another car, a Super that had air conditioning at one point. Saturday i was draped over the fender removeing and labeling all the wires in Romana so i could remove the old fuse box and install the new one. I'm about 60 percent done. It rained today so i couldn't finish the work. Guess what i'll be doing monday. In addition, i am replaceing all the fuses (for good measure and longevity), a new headlight (which i would like to convert to halogen later), a replacement light for the high beam indicator, and a new ground strap for the battery. I'll be ready soon.
