In my parents' village lives a family with a daughter who has Down syndrome.
That family is very involved in an association to give people with Down syndrome a normal life.
That includes fundraising events.
This Sunday is their Operation Breakfast.
People order, and get their breakfast delivered.
The package includes : tea, coffee, milk, butter, jam, a bun, a croissant, a piece of cheese, a yoghurt ans a carton of fruit juice.
Last year, they delivered around 2000 breakfasts.
They also organise "les chemins de la trisomie". It used to be in Autumn, but is now in April.
You can walk 5, 10 or 15 kms, or run 17 kms, or cycle 36 kms.
And they have prizes (cups) for the first 3 in each category, as well as (of course) for the 21st.
