I don't often post photographs, but these are too pretty not to share. I've been meaning to do it since we got back - whch was in June, by the way - but I hope you enjoy then nonetheless.

Those are amazing pictures Vip, Thanks.
My digital camera came with some free software. I don't use it, because it just does the same as iPhoto. However, it did have some sample photos, one of which may interest you. I've just tacked it on to the end of my garden photos:

I've been there, I've been there! And I think my photo of it was better (but then, I would).
That particular shot is on postcards galore in that area so I'm not surprised it shows up in something like that. It's a tremendous place.
Glad you all enjoyed them. I have more, but after a while they start to look like 'more trees'. 'More mountains'. 'More trees and mountains' so I just picked a handful. For the first two days (when we did the real tourist sightseeing bits) it really felt like whereever we pointed the camera there was something there to take. Even after that it did but you can only take so many photos of trees.

I thought your photo was better too. The reflection of the mountains in the lake does it.

We arrived in Canada as the clouds broke after a prolonged period of rain. It was cloudless for the two days that we did proper sightseeing (one organised tour, one drive up the Icefields Parkway, a sightseeing drive route).
After we completed those two days it clouded over but was still bright - perfect for walking. It rained twice, and both times we were in the car.
It couldn't have been more perfect for us if we'd ordered it from the clouds themselves.
