I'm still alive!

I hadn't realised how little I stand up in a general day. Walk, yes. But simply stand, no. I'm gonna have to learn fast. Maybe I should put my laptop on a shelf and work standing up.
Working for the first time today really made me realise this. Although I enjoyed it (okay, ask me in two weeks ) when I stopped walking when I got home I realised how much my heels hurt. And after an hours' kip (I got very little sleep the night before) it became apparent that I'm actually a little stiff in my quads and shoulders. Though that may be dancing from last night as much as the standing (and bending, and reaching, and standing, and bending, and reaching) it looks like I've got some fitness in that area to aquire.
But for those of you that care, my forst shift didn't go too badly. I did manage to crash one of the machines once, but thankfully that was remedied resonably quickly. I'm learning the layout of the place, and the layout of the annoying, non-logical touchscreen system on the till. One day I'll even remember where the sandwiches are first time.
I'm also going to recommend to people that they take me off of their friend's lists. You don't have to read all of my waffle! I feel a little restrained about posting journal entries these days because I am aware that there are a lot of them and they may be cluttering up people's Spaces. But here is your warning; I am now going to post when I want, regardless. That's what my journal is for. You are more than welcome to get out now. No offence will ever be taken.

Why should I want to do that
I read your last few journals and completely sympathise with what you're going through. Not having to actually do anything in the first year, is actually a hell of a thing to get your head around. And yes standing up for long periods of time does tend to hurt the legs a bit.
Though I seem to have gone completely the other way now. People actually tell me to sit down!
Anyway, clutter away

Just how many thousands of pounds worth of technology do you plan to use to give me daily updates of your life when we're going to live in the same house?
