Remember that Mark Knopfler sounds like angels dancing on your tongue
Angels?
typolifi Posted Mar 2, 2000
To everyone but Fenchurch:
I've never seen any Angel, but I don't think Knopfler's music can be compared to anything. You know what Nietzsche said about representations. I mean, your metaphor is very nice, but one of the most important thing about music is that it is the art which stands the furthest of our usual way to present things. It is different. There is a whole separate part of our conciousness dedicated to music.
It befell that the Telegraph Road song is the one I usually listen to when I am on h2g2.
Hence the wonderful connotations associated with it
( Typolifi strangely grins knowing not if he means this or the contrary, and also understanding that in some way he just destroyed his own argument )
To Fenchurch:
Excuse me for using this forum for an individual answer.
Discussions can not be expected to be perfect.
I still don't know what to write
yet, i would like to.
Angels?

Umm. I'm not sure if I understand all that, but it makes a strange kind of sense - like making pineapple and pilchard toasties at 4 in the morning. You're dead right on Telegraph Road tho'.
