Laughing at me, Jim? As that depresses me, I'll add it to your bill if/when you hire me next. However, all I have is evidence. Fish are onyl rare in h2g2, not impossible to find. This is a common fish. Here, look at it again: . See? We're looking for other kinds of fish. Also, the mayor running away may have been a fight/flee reaction, plus I don't have method of robbery. However, I suspect my answers to that may lead me to the beach, or the sewers beneath. I'll just keep the mayor under surveillance. And, as I've not eaten in twelve hours, I'll take this as part of my 'payment'.

Good hunting! Will I have to pay for your cleaning bills if the search does go into the sewers? If I do, please wear something less expensive than your best furs/tuxedo!
