Any one know if it is possible to contact apple UK via email for tech support? There is nothing on their web site except tel nos. Its just I have a bit of a complicated problem connecting midi devices to my ibook, and I figured it'd probably be easier to email istead of phoning.
Unless anyone here knows the answer? I've got a USB interface and I'm connecting it to a keyboard, but despite installing drivers and setting it up in audio/midi, neither garageband nor soundtrack will record from it. In fact, soundtrack recogonises it as an OUTPUT device! What's going on? What have I done!

But I have two suggestions - rather than e-mail, try the Apple discussion site http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa

And the second suggestion: there's something called "Audio Midi Setup" in the "utilities" folder. Maybe that will help? All I know about it is once I had a problem where RealPlayer would not work, and changing something in "Audio Midi Setup" fixed it.

Thanks for your suggestions but I have had so much trouble I have given up. Apple discussion forums showed that it wasn't just me who was having difficulty with yamaha products. I tried various setups in audio/midi with no luck. Yamaha were no help at all, even though it was blatently obvious that it was their fault not Apple's.
Personally I blame yamaha for their lack of good troubleshooting for the gadget for mac users: it was pretty much non existent in the product manual!

The pesky gadget has since been returned to the retailer!
