h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

So I got my webcam up on Wednesday night. And last night a kind young damsel helped me put up my pictures on Yahoo Photos :

And being that in a second, I am off to bleach my hair at another attempt at being blonde, there should be more photos up later today.

Well, was I wrong! I was imagining someone looking like Lisa Howard on Earth Final Conflict (but heaps younger.) Or like Tanith Lee (sf and fantasy author, in the SF Encyclopaedia ed Peter Nicholls, 1978. Or like kate Bush in 1980. Or summat.

I have no idea who those people are!!!

Earth Final Conflict is a science fiction show made in Canada, but Lisa Howard was also on Days of Our Lives in the 1980s. (Before your time, but shown here in NZ when you were about 10, we were years behind! She has black hair in a pageboy style and a really confident air.
Tanith Lee wrote the kind of sf/fantasy book I think you would really like.
Kate Bush had a brief stellar singing career - she was like a younger, thinner and stylier Stevie Nicks. (PLEASE don't tell me you haven't heard of her!) In 1987, she sung with Peter Gabriel. Lessee, do you know of Evanescence? They have a song called Bring me to Life... the singer is a woman who looks like Juliet Landau (Drusilla in Buffy) and sings divinely. That's another idea I had about how you'd look, because you don't look at all like a Natalie or a Saturnine!
BTW, I wrote a story about a girl in 1830, (ish) and she came up against a woman called Drusilla. The story was written about real people - we had to write about people in a village, from the 183o (ish) census for an education course I was doing.

Considering when I first ran into you here I thought you were an anarchist, pyromaniac boy, I can hardly answer that. When I got to know you a little better, the blueblack hair with dramatic goth touches came next, then something a little more like what you actually look like, and now the reality. I like the reality much better than all the others, especially the boy one!

Well, I do the black eyeliner thing every once in a while. As with the darker hair. But right now I am going through a different colour scheme phase : still with the black (and the white) but I really like pink right now. And blonde hair is a nice change (black hair being my default option)...
