I remember that phrase, actually. With that ugly lady saying it to a bicyclist who was just passing through and trying to buy something. And then she tries to seduce him.
Another show I really like is Trigger Happy TV. Nothing quite like seeing 4 guys in giant squirrel outfits pulling a guy out of a phone booth and beating him up. Or seeing a guy stand in front of a giant picture of himself with the caption "DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN" and ask people passing by to donate to his charity.

Trigger Happy is good in small doses, but I prefer Jackass for the long term week after week stupid humour...people get hurt in that one

I have a buddy who was really a fan of Jackass. We even got him a license plate holder that has the MTV logo and "JACKASS" written nice and large on it. I'm sure it makes lots of eyebrows go up at his office.
In fact, one of their earlier episodes was filmed a few miles from where I used to live. They said it was a beach in Mexico, but anyone around where I lived would recognize it as nearby Oceano Beach, California. One of the more prominent Jackasses is the son of the coworker of that buddy of mine with the Jackass license plate holder.
How's that for a tenuous link to the rich and famous?

Um...well...I was once standing in Forbidden Planet (I think you have those over there - comic book/sci fi stores) and I overheard someone who had met Bam Margera.
That's tenuous.

My mate used to have the entire series of Is it Bill Bailey? taped off the tele. We used to watch it continuously, but it got to the disturbing level where my mate could quote, word for word, most of Bill's routines. And most of his songs...

That's how my friends and I are about American comic Mitch Hedberg. When he did a show at our university, he found that people were laughing at his jokes before he got to the punchline, because we had memorized his CD and were laughing in anticipation of the joke.
A sample: "On a traffic light, green means go, yellow means yield, but on a banana, it's just the opposite: yellow means 'go ahead,' green means 'hold on,' and red means 'Where the f#$@ did you get that banana at?'"

"Why do they call corn on the cob 'corn on the cob'? That's the way it comes out of the ground. They should call that 'corn,' and call every other version 'corn OFF the cob.' It's not like if you cut off my arm, you would call my arm 'Mitch,' and then reattach it and call it 'Mitch All Together.'"

I rather liked his "What if Darth Vader had a wessex accent" sketch, myself. (since the person who played Darth Vader did, but didn't do the voice)..
Key: Complain about this post
