This thread is for anything that doesn't go anywhere else The maintenance tunnels are a labyrinth of ducts, hatches and blast doors that run through the walls, ceiling, and floors of the hotel. There is no room without it's hatch, and there are pods in the system that can be used as emergency escape pods. It's a scary place, presided over by an even more scary person: Axe Storm...

*Axe, the maintainence officer (with about 100 other jobs), is currently inside the maintainence hatches. Officially, he shouldn't be there, but the company that made the security systems wasn't up to the job. He was the first to hack them, so he's the one that "presides" over them.*

*Axe is currently in 'maint hatch 7: AI control access' playing Beatles songs on his MIDI keyboard*

[PDA] (as in the sort of noise a PC makes when it boots up). data transfer complete. Patching update file to LiteStep sourcecode... Done. Saving and compiling modified source... Done. Litestep: !recycle... done.

*the LS hologram appears, crawling through the nearest maint. hatch*

*a pod goes zipping by* WOOOOHOOOO

*connects his gelsuit, and therefore his Augmented 3D systems, to the computer core and goes off to the VR maintainence systems*

*reaches the maintaince systems and, therefore the large VR 'Disconnect' button, but refrains from pressing it ATM*

Computer, open direct communication channel to Captain Venom.

[C] Channel open...

*opens private MSN based channel and talks to CV*

*frowns as he is put on hold by CV*

*an EVA hologram appears before him*

[EVA] 11-n system operator code is as follows: *********** (secretly transferred to Axe). The only restriction to level 11-n access is from the Venom-personal subnet. Thank you

EVA, activate sysop mode with above code.

Delete selected LiteStep modules.

*selects several LS modules on his palm*

[EVA] Done.

[Axe] Reinstate LS and EVA systems as per program Axe-14.
