The second time in PR, this now has an intro so there should be no problem this time.

I'm disappointed, Mina (why aren't the italics italicised any more?).
Without changing any of the story, you could have given a bit of detail of the historical basis for this myth.
For instance, in the introduction, you could have said that myths can also tell of historical events, often in a distorted form. You could have included the bit about the 50 Pallantids, being probably a college of 50 women priestesses, who were suppressed by an incoming patriliniar culture. You could also have included a footnote on Ariadne, as detailed previously.

I remember reading somewhere that the Minotaur was sired by a creature referred to as the "Cretan Bull" upon the wife of Minos. As the story went the queen developed a derrangement that casued her to fall for the bull (this maybe the form taken by the punishment of the god's that you mention) and she hatched a scheme with an old priest to disguise herself as a cow and have the bull mate with her. No matter how improbable and dangerous it sounds the myth credits their efforts with success and the Minotaur as the result of the union.

Sorry ZSF! I missed your comment.
I didn't really understand all the historical details that you gave me, and I'm wary of including something that I don't understand in case I'm asked about it.
Nylarthotep - I'm not sure that I like that version of the story either. It's all a bit gruesome isn't it?

Yeah, Nylarthotep's tale sounds like a cock and bull story to me...
This entry looks fine! The only minor imperfections I can see are one or two typos: I think 'villians' and 'Poseidon' have been misspelled, and there's the phrase 'Herald name Leos' which should, I suspect, be 'herald named Leos'.
But we subs can sort those out very easily, and this entry re-tells a classic story very well. To the Edited Guide with it - the art team will have a great time illustrating it!

It is at that, the tale makes me a little queasy if dwelled upon for too long. But I thought that I'd mention it...I really am sorry if I've disgusted you Mina.

BTW, I did a search on 'Pallantids', and there seems to be a lot of difference of opinion about their part in the story. Some sources say that they were a tribe of women, others that they were the 50 giant sons of Pallas!
Anyway (donning my Scout hat) do you want to make any more changes to the entry, Mina?

Well as I state in the entry there are many different versions, and I picked my childhood one, so no, I'm happy with the entry as it is. Although I might change the spellings that you've pointed out.

Well, being an Italic, you'll be able to change the entry after it's been recommended. Which is just as well, actually...

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

this wasn't easy to track down
Hey Mina, thought I'd track the PR thread down to get an idea of what people were saying before I get started editing
