What I think when I should be listening to the lecture

"It would be really funny if classes were taught in musical form. Not just as music, but the all - out - Andrew - Lloyd - Webber - fest - starring - the - professor musical. He'd wear a red satin suit and simply go 'One... hydride shift'll do it - in SN1 re-act-i-ons....' as the students prance around in a line in front of him and he spins a cane..."

I could imagine this to be fun to watch, but I really can't see me prancing in front of the professor as he spins a cane as my spine's a cane.

Believe it or not, last semester my physics TA solved a problem for us in song. It was near the end of the semester, and everyone must have looked really bored. He was just standing there staring at us and finally said, "Would it be more interesting if I just sang it?" So he did - the problem and the solution. Thank goodness he was an amateur actor and was actually a decent singer. I was impressed.
I know it's not exactly up to your "all-out-Andrew-Lloyd-Webber-fest...etc", but it's still a good story.
Later-oh,
Frus

You... you're taking physics? *Fenny shivers and backs away slowly...*
I had two high school teachers who would sing all the time... my TOK teacher (he was... odd) would always sing "Getting to Know You" and imitate Karl Strauss... "or my name isn't... kkaararall strararggarss"... . And my American Lit teacher, a real angel, he would sing all sorts of things... I remember him singing "Georgia" while we were reading The Colour Purple, "Oooooklahoma" when we were reading The Grapes of Wrath, etc... once he sang some Spice Girls song (I'm sooo glad they're gone) for no particular reason... and if I'm not mistaken, it was he who rapped that Tupac song "California Love" to us... hehe. I miss them

That's alright, Frus... there's hope for you yet... you haven't a little green elf on your shoulder like that one physicist yet, have you?

Unrelated but hey, who cares?
I've got a friend who I've just introduced to h2g2, and she's posted something on your Mexico article. Can you take a look at it and maybe answer her question (or get someone elso to)?

lol! 'salright.
I had family down in D.F., so I didn't stay in hotels... therefore I don't really know of any... though fron what I've read in the other Mexico City forums a bunch of other people have gone and may know, if she'd like to check that out... There was a forum entitled "Restaurant Recommendations", so I'm sure whoever posted that would know of some.
