for the travel heading, i think it would be a good idea to have englands well-known underground symbol, the red circle with a blue line through it, as an h2g2 smiley. this could be used humorously such as:
MIND THE GAP
The next stop is....Victoria. Change at....Victoria for....Victoria line.
- this needs to be reflected

The underground symbol is a trademark so couldn't be used. There are several suggestions for reflections on the smiley list (which is currently closed, by the way 
).

i'm almost entirely sure it's only a valid trademark if the word "underground" or a station is included, but, alas, i know little of it...

Well I don't know how they square the copyright circle in this case, but it is definitely true that the smiley list is closed. The text art version of (-) is probably a bit feeble. While phi Ø seems to work theta doesn't. 
I don't think I'm someone who really wants an underground smiley for any reason though. Is this an underguide thing?
