I'd never seen that cover before! You are right, it would make a great smiley. However, there will be copyright issues with this, as the design for the cover probably belongs to the publisher. That means that we can't copy it. Sorry about that.

Is it within the power of whomever controls this site to perhaps contact the publisher and see if they do own it, and if so if we can use it, as this is the earth edition of the book they made a cover for.

Sorry if that comes off as sarcastic or anything, didn't intend it that way. Serious question.

I agree this would make a great smiley.

However, there are so many copyright-free smileys we can use that to put our efforts and resources into producing one in particular (especially when we already have to prioritise) probably wouldn't be a good idea. Especially when poor Abi is still waiting anxiously for a Kofi Annan smiley!

Yes, humble thanks from me as well. (bows low) I put a self made smiley of him on my site. Should I remove it? You can barely see him. I dislike copyright laws and yet understand the need. But at least they can't take the tattoo I have of him away! Thank you all, again.

You will need strong specs to see it and it looks different enough from the ones on the URL's in postings above. I doubt that copyright holders would have a generic right to a green splodge with 2 arms as there woill be others with prior claim eg the Mekon.

Don't ask any female or any male under 50 who the Mekon was

Ah well, all I can see is an empty space in my browser, so what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over.

And I know who the mekon is, the chap with the big head that floated in Dan Dare in 2000AD. So
