Which leads to an interesting question much batted about today by Goths and Vampyre fanatics: if you are dead, how old are you?

The first twenty years are the most memorable.
The second and third twenty years apparently pass like individual years rather than decades.
As I am just ending my second block of twenty years, my whole concept of old is very much different from when _I_ was seventeen.
I used to believe that anyone who was thirty-five or older was just dead and wouldn't fall down.
