along with 5l cider and 5l of mead to go with the 5l of mead already in the cupboard

am going to bottle my cider today and syphon and settle the mead

the mead wasn't strong enough
added more yeast and gave it a shake
bubbling again
put the hydrometer in the cider and it sank like a stone

My brother-in-law added brandy to his mead.
It would have put the 
to shame!

mine don't need brandy
when i was making it with bread yeast it was 8% now i use a champagne yeast i get around 12% and its so sweet and light, you can just drink it with no effort, 
and suddenly 2-3 bottles are empty and you legs don't work any more, its a nice suprise when you try to stand
