This one has been simmering for some time.
I look forward to comments.

Hi (how do you abbreviate your name?),
A nice little entry! I'm English, I've heard of (and seen) morris dancing but I had never heard of a morris side. I wonder if that needs an explanation the first time it's used?

I think you're right Awu. I'll get onto it. Easy to get too close to these things and forget people might not know.
(Most people abbreviate me to ZSF BTW.)

Amendments made.
BTW I thought long and hard about describing the various types of morris dancing and decided against it, as morris dancing would be an entry in itself and is likely to be included in a collaborative entry that Deackie and I have agreed to do (in the fullness of time!).

Hi, !
I like this one. The only quibble I have is that your link to the Rochester Castle entry includes Goo
I think taking the /classic/ out of the link means it reverts to whatever skin the reader is using....and some of us do prefer Alabaster!

Oh, Azara!
I feel the same about Alabaster, however I'll do the decent thing and take out the skin specific part of the link. Sorry!

Good article, very interesting. Thanks for linking to my Rochester Castle article. I know now why I had never seen the Sweeps Festival, despite being Rochester born - my family left in 1980 when I was small, and so we missed it!

I love it and try to go as often as I can. I used to bring the car, but it's now much more sensible to go by train as car parking is a pain. Besides, if you go by train, you can sample a beer or two in one of the many pubs that are open. My favourites are the Witchmen, a Border Morris side - black faces, bonnets with pheasant feathers, tatter jackets, bells and clogs.

Just checking that no-one's expecting me to make any more changes! As far as I'm concerned, the entry's finished.
