Hi Everyone. If you don't see me posting much this week, it's because I'm busy listening to my new hypnosis CDs. It's a whole audio set that teaches you self hypnosis, and it's got 16 discs. That's a lot of listening. So far I like it VERY much. It's relaxing, and afterward I feel like I've had a nice rest. I'm hoping it will help me improve my sleep habits.

JEllen have you ever tried that floatation thing? You know in a chamber with lots of salts in the water so you float? I did it in the past with some 'whale' hypnotic sounds, and once I fell into the deepest most wonderful sleep. To wake me up they actually had to open the damned thing up and shake me...
I'm not a great one for all this type of stuff, but it's different strokes....
I wish you very well...

Thanks Effers! No, I've never tried a flotation tank before, but I'd really like too, they seem cool. I have no idea where I'd find one in Memphis though, and it would probably be expensive to have a session.
BTW, congrats again on your film.

You are comfortable...you're relaxing all over...you are drifting off to sleep but you're alert to my voice...to my voice only...your limbs feel heavy...listen to my voice...you are slipping into sleep, you are supremely relaxed...you will be warmly asleep before long, but supremely safe...you'll hear every word I say...
Somebody get rid of this guy. He falls asleep nearly every time...

Yes Jellen I'm also interested to hear if this helps you sleep better! I think sleep is very important ... I've just again read in the newspaper, of the people of Okinawa who are amongst the longest-living in the world ... they tend to sleep quite a lot, eight or nine hours a night.

I think I sleep too much- consistently seven or eight hours. I can fall asleep standing up on the train. I've even fallen asleep washing dishes.
But I'd be interested in knowing if hypnosis can work for other reasons.

I tried to listen to the sleep CD tonight, and Micio came and stomped on me the whole time, LOL. For anyone who does not know, Micio is my cat. It was not very conductive of a productive session.

Sounds about right- Herman would have done the same for me.
Of course Micio's either thinking "but I'm helping you to relax" or "pay attention to ME".

At least Micio isn't doing what Ali-cat does to me... Jumping off the wardrobe just as I am drifting off to sleep!
