Today is Sunday and the last day of fresher's fortnight at Bristol University. We've already had one week of proper lectures but its really all been introductory stuff so far so next week will be the first week of work. I was pretty tired all last week - and not because of the late nights that everyone reading this will assume, I actually went to bed at a reasonable time most nights - because I'm just not use to concentrating from 9-5 at the moment. I did work all last year but I spent the last month lazing around at home and its really easy to get used to that sort of life. I'm sure I'll get used to it fairly soon.
If I believe all the information I've been given about study time and so on, I've probably got to concentrate from 9am to midnight each day not just 9-5. I know thats not going to happen. Plenty of people have said that graduates are less likely to get a good job with a first class degree and no life than with an upper 2nd and a tale of enthusiatic social and sporty activities. I've never been very good at the social aspects of life so I think I had better make the most of this period of my life or I may never get any better at it.
