Sorry to bother you, just though I'd let you know that in "Things to do in Birmingham when the Rail Network is dead" Pallasades is spelt wrong, I know it's not how it's supposed to be spelt but I think it was spelt that way to reflect the effect the Brummie accent has upon the word Pallisade. Also when you're at the dirty meet on Saturday feel free to come say hi, if it's taking place where I think it is you'll be round the corner from Nostalgia & Comics where I work on Saturdays, I'll be the long haired one who answers to the name of Stu. It would be nice to have a face to go with some of the names for the following Saturday. Take it easy and good luck with any exams that may happen to you between now and then. Many apologies for my rather anal nature but it comes from working at a school, I'm still trying to wipe the red ink off of the monitor from when I first spotted it

Hi Stu,
I'm afraid we're not going to the dirty meet any more, I have exams, and the other researchers can't make it.
Thanks for pointing out the typo, I shall corrected it ASAP, (once I've caught up with all my other conversations).
My nickname used to be Z - the multi talented person who can't spell. I have a reputation to maintain!.
Will you be working on the 23rd? If so I could pop in with some other researchers during the day and say hi?

We'll pop in and say hi,
btw do you have any opinions on which pubs in the city centre are worth going to, there's a good few real ale drinkers, and we want somewhere nice where we can have a chat?

Nearly all the decent real ale type pubs have undergone firkinisation of some sort or another. Can't remember if the Bull down by the hospital serves real ale or not and that place is lovely. Hogshead used to be good but the quality of the beer has slid drastically since the landlady moved on. The Hill stocks a very limited selection but can be very loud on a Saturday evening, the Weatherspoons next door whose name escapes me for the time being, has a wide selection and doesn't play any music at all but you need to get in about 3 or 4 or you'll be forced to sit in the non smoking area as it is usually very busy but at least the beer is cheap. I'm in town tonight so if I find or think of any more I'll be in touch.

Ooh yes,
I do like Bennets wine bar, but the beer isn't that good, though it's a nice place and does some nice jazz on a Saturday night, We'll be arriving at around 1ish so the Briar Rose is an option isn' t it?.
And there's always the Old Joint Stock, which I admit to rather liking!
