Or is anyone else having a problem with google tonight (Monday evening UK time)

Since I got home from work I have been trying to log onto my gmail account and get a time out message. Its not my computer as I have tried our home computer too. I am also having problems doing google searches - the computer tells me it is working on it and then just sits there for 5-10 mins when it times out. I can use other search engines and other internet mail accounts

What I dont know is if this is a google problem or are they just trying to tell me something?

Any thoughts?

*giggles* that last line reminds me of a good friend who used to say the same thing...

It probably is gmail if all other sites are working fine... you can try shutting down your browser entirely and reopening but chances are it will work later... in the meantime, have a cocktail to pass the time...

I sometimes find Gmail offline and it does seem to be slow to load when I log in, but I don't ever recall having problems with Google searches.

I tried the turn it off and on again tactic but that did not work so you were spot on Batty - well almost - opened some instead!

I know Gosho - I had not know the search go wrong before either - most odd! Still it all seems to be OK today and I can get at my emails again

I find the best solution to a slow loading website is quite frequently a drink.. preferrably either caffeinated, alcoholic or both..

Most definitely! I suggest either with Irish Creme or with and rum. Over ice it's a nifty cooler on a hot summer night...
