A football club entry...

As a Forest fan this somehow doesn't do it for me. Maybe it's my current dissolusion with the club itself .
The entry could mention the clubs high-profile past (the only club to successfully defend the European cup) and compare it to it's current status as a div1/premier league yo-yo team. Also it's dubious financial plight.
More mention of Cloughie wouldn't go a miss too.
The Premier league has only been about for a few years, maybe change it to "top flight" (although I hate that phrase).
Hmm, maybe I could take it over as the researcher seems to have only contributed this to h2g2...

Good idea, as it's not in the guide already, and you're obviously going to know a lot more about it. You could either start a new entry of your own, copying and pasting any bits you want to keep, or simply add in extra information into the forum here and let the Sub put it all together (which we're quite happy to do as that's what Peer Review is for to an extent).
If you noticed, I went through and submitted a load of other people's entries last night. This was partly to test what happens when you submit other people's entries, and partly because I've heard PR is running a bit empty at the moment and could do with a few new entries.
Took me ages to find even the ones I did submit though, I was using the <./>RandomEntry</.> and just seeing what it threw up. Musta looked through hundreds of entries... Quite addictive though...

Need a lot more info. Cloughie bringing the team up from Cloughie bringing the team up from the old second division to European champoions. Including the only all English tie in the European Cup beating the two tiem champions Liverpool on their way to the 1979 trophy.
Also some detail of the City Ground, it's proximity to Notts County the oldest team in football and how the second team developed must have as interesting a tale as how Liverpool was created from Everton. Give it a little more effort and there is a great article here potentially.

Yes, I agree. How about it, Researcher 185399 (have you changed your name to something more personal than a number, yet, by the way?)?
This entry needs more detail. Ste has offered support.
Let us know when you have made amendments. It would help, I think, if there was a web link to the club - I'm sure one exists.

There certainly is a web link to the club, right here: http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/ . The site has a handy 'club history' section, too, which should come in useful for the Entry.

So should this one be removed from PR until *someone* does something more with it?

Sorry, I'm afraid it's none of my business. I haven't even seen them playing!

Yes, the entry is rudimentary at best, but I too cannot be bothered to add more, perhaps after next week's local derby V. leicester I might chance my mind.
The main problem is the 'spending most of their time in the Premier League' bit. In actual fact, the Tricky Trees left the premier league as soon as possible, being relegated first time of asking by Sheffield United at the City Ground, Nottingham in 1992 as a result of His Majesty Sir Brian Clough, Forest Ubermanager and King of the Universe being pissed all season.
Therefore I contend that it would be more appropriate to herald Forest as the team who blazed a trail out of the Premier league/ship/whatever like no other.
Oh, and we hold the record for most matches unbeaten in a row, too.
Key: Complain about this post
