I don't think I'm on the birthday page. Maybe I am, I don't remember.

Oh, OK then...

You know, I meant to email you or at least write a post for you on your birthday. Ooops...I tend to forget things a lot.

I was thinking the other day, and I realized I should be thanking you a lot more for all the time you spent with me and Quincy while you were here. When we started associating, I was in sixth grade, which would have put you in what, freshman year? I don't know many freshmen who would take the time and patience to get friendly with a younger kid like you did...I don't think *I* would. A gap of a few years means a lot when a few years is a sizable portion of one's life (and maturity), and thinking back, I remember many times when my younger mind would have been a nuisance.

So I give you thanks for all the time you spent with me, and regrets for not having realized its significance for so long. I hope you have (had) a happy birthday.

Thanks. That cheers me up a bit (winter here is really dismal). I really enjoyed spending the time with you guys. You made scouts worthwhile for me, and I owe you thanks for that.

And Amy, sorry if those two posts were a bit short and snappish. Dismal Wisconsin winter plus few friends equals me feeling pretty down. But spring is coming soon, and hopefully things will be better then.
