Hee hee! That welcoming home thing is always good. I know it well, my girly lives 20 miles away and I can't drive, and we both work pretty hard, and her kids take up way too much of her time, so I don't get to see her half as often as I'd like to. But the getting together again eventually is pretty good. (understatement of the century, thank you very much)

Yup. I'm getting ready to uh... 'welcome him home' tonight. He flies in from Virginia this afternoon. 
of course he leaves for New York on Tuesday but that's days from now...

Busy fellow! Good positive attitude there though, rather than the "Oh no, only a couple of days!" thing that some people do.

Nah. The constant travel is actually a good thing. Like I said, lots of opportunities to welcome him home properly. 
In any case, he calls every night no matter where he is.
I was a bit miffed I couldn't get away from school to go with him to NY but then the trip got cancelled anyway. The trip was actually to White Plains but I could have caught a train into the City to visit.
