A Conversation for How to Make Felt
Non-Detergent Soap

My freinds and I have alot of fun making felt, and you've got a very spiffy entry here, I must say. One little thing though, I've always been told to use a non detergent soap (such as shampoo) in the felt-making process. Dunno why; I was always just assured that I'd ruin my wool and have a very un-felt like substance to show for it in the end.
I've never tried it otherwise, so I could be mistaken. Your opinion?

I've only ever tried to make felt with a detergent soap, i normally use fairy liquid or something similar. don't think it would matter what type of soap is used, it just needs to be soap but you could always do a little experimenting to find out...
