Good stuff.
The entry mentions the Pumperston Oil Company. I'm not sure, but when I lived in Mid Calder, I recall that the placename was Pumpherston (with an 'H'). Presumably, the company named was spelt with an 'H' too?

whoops quite right that is a typo that appears to have slipped through I'll get a nice italic to sort out that atrocious bit of speling. (sic)
