I've been HOME since October the 4th! It was a long trip, cats complaining all the way, but I felt lighter and lighter as the miles passed. This place sure has gone through changes while I was away, and yet it's still the same.
As usual, I've had challenges. I've had internet connection problems; I just got my landline today so here I am, back on hootoo, also my Home.
I have boxes all over my semi-large single apartment, the cats are taking turns barfing and fighting, and my new DSL doesn't work. I don't have a refrigerator yet, my back payments from Social Security still haven't come through, but I'm HOME!

* a large cyber bouquet of SC's favourite flowers is delivered
* the card reads "Wishing you be happiness in your new home"
Good to hear you sounding happy, despite those snags

WooHoo! I'm so glad you're home, glad the disability was finally approved, glad to have you back on hootoo. When you get those back payments, you'll be able to breathe for a change.

Thanks, for the posies, Teuchter! I'm still putting things away, and I've just finished putting up two bookshelves. I'm amazed at how many of my books werren't given away but put aside by my friends!
All in all, I'm feeling good -- us Angelenos need smog to breathe properly, doncha know?

Let's see, it's about 5 miles to Glendale (where I used to live) and another 4-5 miles beyond that is downtown Pasadena, where the parade parades. It's two buses and about an hour away.
My aunt and uncle live a block away from the parade route, but at their age, I don't think they'll even watch it on TV. I always do, and will look out for the Webb City HS band! Well, actually, I'm usually looking out for the JPL float...

Rocket is in SO much trouble! He got into the bathroom window, and knocked one of my best pottery pieces to the floor and smashed it! I can't go back and make another one, so the little bugger is in serious territory.
Ah, the joys of moving and all that there.
