Last night I dreamed I got the sack.
Today wasn't the best day at work as I ballsed up. Not really my fault but it won't be seen that way

It's extremely unlikely you'll be sacked as a result of a single bad day at work. Go in tomorrow, hold your hands up and take the blame: worst you'll get is a finger-wagging (not, not that sort of finger-wagging) from the boss and you can promise to pick your act up for next week.

The worst thing is, I said I was really sorry today and he said it was alright but he doesn't get mad

Hmm...well I live in a constant state of uncertainty about my job, because they won't give me a job describtion, goals or objectives, or any feedback...so I turn up every day and do what crosses my desk, and so far they keep paying me...
Next month I'll ask for a pay rise.

Hmmm, your job sounds like Odo's, Freddy.
I keep trying to get her out of it, but she refuses to acknowledge that she might be good at other jobs.

Try not to worry about it, everything will turn out right
I've dreamed quite a few things lately and none of them have come true.
Though my horoscope did say I was going to try winding someone up today, that seems to be panning out nicely.

I'm not really here Posted Aug 2, 2005
I dreamt I married Ian Beale the other night. Yes, I was his 4th wife. Now that's scary!
They can't sack you for one cock-up, unless you accidently did something that counts as gross misconduct (stealing for instance). You have to have two verbals warnings and one written before they can sack you I think.

So that must cut down on quite a bit of his/her food groups.

That's an Asperger's symptom, isn't it? Have you read The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime?

I haven't, but you're not the first person to mention that - it's on my list of things to investigate...

I personally thought it was a fairly average book, but I suppose anything that teaches us a little bit about a disability is a good thing (except Foxie, of course).

There was an email that went round today - another member of staff gone. She seems to have just upped and left, no notice period, and I have a funny feeling she was sacked cos when I joked to her friend about taking bets on who would be next she told me it wasn't funny

We had a betting pool here at work to see when a guy would come back from his sick leave.. He had a 9 week long migraine right after he'd been off sick for tonsillitis for about 4 months.

Wow, that's a pretty impressive migrane!
On now wait a minute, your not suggesting dishonesty on his part are you?

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted Aug 3, 2005
Off for 4 months with tonsilitis? Was he waiting for them to grow back?
Scary bananas
Ku'Reshtin (Bring the beat back!) Posted Aug 3, 2005
Winnoch, the migraine was very impressive, and once he did come back to work, he was in for about 2 weeks, and then was away for another 3 weeks with another migraine.
EV, according to him, his doctors said the tonsils were "too infected" to operate on, so he was put on an antibiotics course to reduce the infection so that they then could remove the infection.
And would I imply dishonesty in one of my team mates at work? For him? HELL YEAH!!
